Autumn Term 2017

Our topic this half term is 'Lights Out.' We will be looking at many books about space.

Our topic this half term is 'Ready, steady, go!' We will be reading many books about journeys.

We went on a journey to the local shop. We wrote a shopping list together. We bought bread, butter and jam. On our way we saw lots of interesting things. When we got back to school we made toast with butter and jam. It was delicious.

We have painted pictures of our faces. They look amazing on display in the corridor.

We have created a fire station in our classroom. We have been taking on the role of fire officers. We have put out many fires and saved a cat that was stuck up a tree!

We have been moving and dancing with our 'Flippy Flappers' to help us write our numbers and letters. This type of movement develops strong motor skills and it is great fun!

We have been reading the book 'Mr Gumpy's Outing.' We explored which materials floated and then made a boats using wood, paper and plastic for Mr Gumpy and his animals friends. It was great fun!

We have been learning to recognise and create our own patterns using paint, beads and 2D shapes.

Here we are re-telling the story 'Oi! Get Off The Train.' We created our own train and each of us took on the role of one of the characters from the story. We remembered the story really well.

We have been finding out what the word 'technology' means. We went on a technology treasure hunt around the school. We use a lot of technology in school!
