Welcome to Greenway Primary School!
Greenway Primary School was opened in 1952 and was refurbished in 2010. In 2019 we joined The Oaks Federation, along with Trowbridge Primary School. Together, we aim to build a wonderful collaborative community that offers our pupils a superb start to learning.
The building houses 8 classrooms, 5 additional group teaching rooms, a large hall, a wellbeing room, a separate dining area, 5 education linked office spaces and a flying start nursery. The hall is used for school activities and a small number of school lunches. We have a school kitchen which provides daily hot meals.
The school has 2 large playgrounds which has been zoned to offer children different learning environments, such as climbing equipment, a garden area, football areas and a free play area. The school also has separate Foundation Phase outdoor learning zones and a large field which is sued for football, rugby and other sporting events.
At Greenway Primary School we actively promote partnerships between parents and the school. We believe that parents have a very important part to play in the life of the school and anyone who is able to spare some time to support us during the day will be warmly welcomed. Teachers are always very pleased to have extra help with practical activities such as craft work and cookery, and parents can make a valuable contribution in helping with learning. Even if you are unable to spend time in this way, there will be various social occasions when we will be pleased to welcome you in school.
We are a busy, friendly community school, with many exciting opportunities for you and your family. This website aims to give you a taster of our school, as well as providing regular updates and support for you and the family.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find any information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school directly with any queries you may have.
