    All About Me

"All About Me" has been a lovely way for the children to settle into their new class.  Together we have explored our new environments, indoors and outdoors.  We have really enjoyed getting to know each other, and helping the children to explore their likes, dislikes and interests.

This half term has been filled with lots of outdoor play, sensory play, singing and movement.  From sensory stories, sound buttons and music to textures and scents, our play experiences have opened up lots of opportunities for discovery and learning.

Our class routines have become well established, and the children are becoming more familiar with them.  We have also been working on communicating what we want and need using words and pictures.

    Colour My World

This topic has been a really exciting theme for our second half term.
Together, we explored a range of colours, mainly red, yellow, green and blue, learning their names and discovering objects and materials that matched each one. The children particularly enjoyed investigating colourful items, and taking part in lots of creative activities. From bright paints and crayons to collage materials and sensory trays, our classroom was full of opportunities for expression, experimentation and imagination.

We also learned new songs linked to the colours we were exploring, which the children loved singing, moving and signing along to. These musical moments helped us build confidence, communication and shared joy throughout our days.

As we moved towards the end of the half term, our learning naturally blended into the festive season. The children took part in a wide range of Christmas crafts, sensory experiences and celebrations. A special highlight was our festive "Stay and Play" session, where families joined us for shared activities and a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community.
