Class Information:

• School day: Doors open 8:55am.

• PE days: Friday – pupils come to school in PE kit.

• Upbeat: Wednesday (Autumn Term 1).

• Water bottles: Labelled with your child's name. 

• Snacks: Fruit is  £1.50 per week. 

This term our theme is Space, and we’ll be asking the big question: “How do humans explore and live beyond Earth?”. The children will be discovering fascinating facts about the Earth and the wider solar system, carrying out investigations into forces, and even having a go at some simple coding to help make sense of data. Through our Literacy work we’ll be writing information reports, sharing ideas in class debates about the ethics of space travel, and having fun with performance poetry. In Maths, we’ll be working with large numbers, exploring measures, and using real space statistics to bring our learning to life. Our Humanities lessons will look at great journeys of exploration and how space research can make a difference back here on Earth. In the Arts, pupils will get creative by designing soundscapes and posters inspired by famous missions, while in Health and Well-being we’ll focus on teamwork, positive mindsets and staying safe online when using technology for research.
