Outdoor learning will take place weekly where possible. Appropriate clothing for the weather should be worn. A change of shoes or willies is advisable for wet weather.

Our topic this term is Ancient Times

We will be learning about the Celts and the Romans.

As part of our pupil voice, the children suggested:

We have had a great journey so far. The children fully embraced our outdoor learning and showed excellent teamwork skills when making their hillforts. We also enjoyed using the internet to find out about how rich and poor Romans live. It has also been very interesting to learn all about Julius Caesar and how he led the Romans in battle before going on to become a very powerful leader of Rome, until he was assassinated. We are looking forward to our further learning and finding out more about the Roman invasion and acting out the Roman invasion of the Celts. The children have thrown themselves into the mess and creativity of designing and making our Roman helmets.
