and how vital it still is today.
We will be studying:

- The Glamorganshire Canal-the iron & coal industry.
- Cardiff Bay.
- Life in rivers, canals, ponds-food chains
- Water shortages-drought.Saving our water.
Reading is something our class value very highly as we know how important it is in everything- and, of course we love it! We've added lots of new books to our book corner and have bought a HUGE new collection of fiction and non-fiction books for the school library. Mrs Anderson is encouraging us to read newspapers and articles during our reading time. There is also lots of choice of fictional books in both Welsh and English in our book corner where we like to chill.
Having read Spy Dogs by Andy Cope (which, by the way, was absolutely brilliant!!) we are excited about our new book by David Walliams, Demon Dentist, to read in class each day this term.
Writing will, again, be our focus this term. We will be trying out all sorts of writing and share them with our friends and teachers. We will use VCOP to improve our writing-Vivid Vocabulary,Cool Connectives, Outstanding Openers and Perfect Punctuation. Our work is improving each time we write and we can't wait to try out some other genre.
Our fruit Tuck Shop will continue this term at 25p a day. Fruit kebabs are on sale for 30p every Friday. We are using the profit to buy items for the playground. Please support us!
Important phrases for us to use are:
Ga i ... am ginio os gwelwch yn dda? Can I have lunch please?
Oes gennyt ti ...? Have you got...?Oes/Nag oes-Yes/No I haven't
Mae ...yn gwisgo/yn hoffi/chwarae....is wearing/likes/is playing

Thank you to all the parents for coming and having a chat with me about your children's progress. The children are very proud of the work they have done and it was lovely for them to share it with you.
